The festival is focusing on culture, tradition and identity to promote the history of visual art in Sierra Leone. Ten days of arts in the streets of Freetown 22nd November - 1st December 2018.

There will be a Colour the sky event. This is the first street carnival of its kind in Sierra Leone hosted by King Dus Arts Festival. It is inspired by the Holi - the festival of colours - which is celebrated every year throughout India to celebrate human spirit and togetherness.

The carnival will be held at Bathurst Street, the heart of the city, this location is perfect to truly capture the essence of Freetown and create an amazing festival vibe and experience. Colour the sky will host the largest coloured-powder 'splash' in Freetown history.

The concept: Hundreds of patrons dressed in white t-shirt will come together to share in music, dance, food, friends and culture with a uniform 'colour-splash' which will take place every hour. After a minimum of 3 colour-splashes the audience will be completely covered by the colour powder, depicting a true 'rainbow nation' feel.
