Three Sierra Leoneans Arrested In Larnaca Cocaine Bust

Anti-Drug Squad Police (YKAN) in Larnaca arrested three people in Larnaca on Thursday night in what they say was a cocaine bust.

Armed with a search warrant, YKAN officers conducted a search in a hotel room in Larnaca where they discovered 82 egg-shaped packages of cocaine weighing just over a kilogram.

A 46-year-old Sierra Leonean was arrested for the possession of cocaine.
 He then assisted the YKAN officers by taking part in a controlled delivery of the cocaine.

Two more persons from Sierra Leone, living in Nicosia, were arrested.

The three men will appear in court on Friday where police investigators will request to keep them in remand.
