Lake Production is an entertainment company in Sierra Leone
that was founded by the CEO Alhaji K Tarawally.
Lake production were the organizers of the first National
Entertainment Awards (NEA) which was held at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown.
Earlier October the company help a meeting with different promoters around the
country after signing an M.O.U with the Tangains Committee on the 11th Of
August 2017 for the proposed 3 in one Musical concert that will feature
Emmerson Bockarie,Arkman and Morris.
After all preparations and promotions have been going on for
the Musical concert which was dated to take place on the 24th December on
Christmas Eve, lake Production received a letter from the stadium management
with the signature of the stadium manager "Musa Sesay" dated 14th
November 2017 "I am directed to refer to your letter of request dated 20th
October, 2017 for the use of the above and to inform you with regret that the
facility will not be available at the time requested i.e 24th December, 2017
due to other engagements previously approved. Any inconvenience is
regretted"
The situation on the floor is two Sierra Leonean musicians,
kaoDeneroa hip hop artist and Emmerson Bockariea afro pop, singer and
songwriter were also denied access to the facility few months back because they
are being classed as Anti-Government musicians. Disgruntled fans of Emmerson
Bockarie and entertainment lovers around the country has concluded that Lake
Production are being denied access to the national stadium because Emmerson
Bockarie will be performing live on the show.
However, the organizers have made it clear that the concert is
to bring together youth and a way to empower the
entertainment industry by supporting our national stars.
Alhaji K Tarawally the CEO of Lake production says the
company has spent about one hundred and fifty million Leones (Le 150 million)
in cash and it is sad and frustrating for the management of the national
stadium to send them such letter just few more weeks to the show.
On the other hand citizens has raised up another point maybe
it has to be with Alhaji K Tarawally CEO of Lake Production Company openly
declaring his support for the NGC political party and has been in several
photos with the party flag bearer Dr.KandehkollehYumkellah.
